Product details
The insulation hole cutter LFA is designed specifically for producing accurately dimensioned holes for blowing in insulating materials. The 0.5 mm thick, wavy cutting edge, which can be restored by sharpening, cuts insulating board and wood fiberboard cleanly and quickly by removing only a minimal amount of material.
The core is retained in the tool and can be reused to close the hole once the insulating material has been blown in. It is easy to remove with the core extractor.
The hole cutter is compatible with insulation board thicknesses up to 80 mm and is held in a cordless driver or power drill by its 13 mm shank. The recommended speed range is 400–600 rpm.
Applications
- For circular blow-in holes in insulating board
- Compatible materials include wood fiber insulating board, mineral wool, PIR/PUR foam and expanded polystyrene
Advantages
- The thin wavy cutting edge maintains precise positive engagement all the way through the board, thus ensuring superior insulating properties.
- Consistent blow-in holes facilitate their tight closure with hand-made plugs.
- Made of high-quality tool steel, the insulation hole cutter has a long service life because its cutting edge can be sharpened.
